Fleet Feet invites everyone to dress in “Robert formal” attire, including running shoes and excluding ties.
According to Fleet Feet’s Facebook page, owner Robert Espinoza has passed away.
Espinoza was a husband, father, and a supporter of almost every running event in the area, and a tireless charity worker.
He was recently named Volunteer of the Year by the YMCA of Coastal Georgia.
Chris Ramsey posted to Facebook, “It is with a very heavy heart that I write this sad news. Robert Ezpinosa – son, brother, father, husband, Fleet Feet Sports Savannah owner and my dear friend, passed away today. We can never hope to do for this town what he did, but we will strive to put our best foot forward, in our attempt to support and strengthen his legacy. Please keep Robert’s family in your thoughts and prayers, and as Robert would say, “grind now, shine later.” We love and miss you, Robert: we are all better people for having known you.”
WSAV will provide updates as they become available.
