Convicted Rapist Back on the Run, Wanted in Chatham County

David Burns is a convicted sex offender, who’s spent time in prison, on the run again.

“Mr Burns has aant out for his arrest on a probation violation, a superior court warrant,” explained Sgt Octavious Anderson/ of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department. “He are currently seeking charges against Mr. Burns for failure to register as well as obstruction.”

Convicted of a rape in Chatham County back in 1998, Burns has faced several failure to register violations in the past, and just got out of jail back in April.

“We determined yesterday that Burns is living in an address that is unregistered and there are several small children living inside this residence, that is a gross violation of his probation,”

David Burns is 33 years old 5′ 9″ tall, 205 pounds.

“Burns is known to frequent the area of wright street off of bay street. Hes also known to be in the area of burrroughs street which is between 39th and 40th.”
