A woman was shot before she was taken into custody for a bank robbery in Walterboro Wednesday, and may have robbed a Pooler bank on Monday.

Walterboro Police say 52-year-old Linda Walker walked into First Federal Credit Union on Robertson Boulevard, pulled out a gun, and demanded money.  She made it out with an undisclosed amount of cash and sped off.  Colleton County Deputies tried to pull her over when they say Walker sped up to run one of them over.  That’s when a deputy opened fire, hitting Walker in the hand before arresting her.

She’s now charged with two counts each of Armed Robbery and Kidnapping and one count each of Possession of a Weapon and Attempted Murder.

On Monday, a woman with Walker’s description robbed the Heritage Federal Credit Union in Pooler.  No word yet on if she’ll face charges for that, but Police say she is a person of interest.
