(Savannah) – Jenkins High School hoopster Dimetri Chambers is the winner of the second annual Rashaad Spann Memorial Award, given to Savannah-Chatham’s top junior male basketball player. Chambers scored nearly nine points per game for the Class 3-A state champions.
He was pivotal in the Warriors state title win over Morgan County, scoring 12 points.
The award is in honor of former Jenkins and Groves star Rashaad Spann who was killed in Febuary of last year.
