A new art show is heading to Wayne County – and they’re looking for local artists to showcase their best work.
In June (details below), Jesup will host the “10,000 Hours: Art In The South” event.
Organizers say they have partnered with the Downtown Development Authority in Jesup to promote arts awareness, something they feel is missing from their community.
“I think it’s very important to bring something that wouldn’t necessarily be either accessible for any reason or exposed for whatever reason, to bring it to places where it would be of value,” said artist and event host, Candice McKinley.
The event is taking place at Cafe Euro in downtown Jesup from 7-9 p.m. both June 5th and 6th.
2D and 3D artists are invited to participate and are allowed to bring up to 5 pieces to display.
