Savannah Police officials say a central precinct family was burglarized Tuesday. A Playstation 3, that belonged to the family’s handicapped son and was his only source of entertainment, was taken.
Officer Rashad Beals says he was inspired to donate his own Xbox 360, two controllers, a headset, and several games to the family.
Supervisors say the family was so grateful, the mother cried when she realized what Beals was doing.
“Officer Beals has shown that police officers do sacrifice and do care about the welfare of the community,” Graves said.
