One officer charged with 2nd-degree murder in Freddie Gray’s death, Maryland’s state’s attorney says.
The attorney announced Friday that there was no probable cause in the arrest of Freddie Gray, that his arrest was illegal and that charges will be filed against police in his death.
“I assured his family that no one is above the law and that I would pursue justice on their behalf,” Marilyn Mosby said in a press conference on Friday.
Gray was arrested April 12 and died a week later from his injuries. His death has prompted calls for police reform nationwide.
