Sarah Jones Internship Founded

Sarah Jones was a film crew member killed on the first day of filming for the late Greg Allman’s biopic, “Midnight Rider."

Warner Brothers Television will give aspiring filmmakers an internship to honor the memory of Sarah Jones, the camera assistant killed by a train last year during the filming of “Midnight Rider.”

The Sarah Jones opportunity will award Georgia-based filmmakers with a paid internship and camera training in Atlanta.

Her death in February 2014 while the “Midnight Rider” crew was shooting on a train trestle, has sparked an industry-wide call for on set safety.

The application process for the Sarah Jones internship opportunity will begin in the coming months.
