It was business as usual Thursday night for the Georgia Southern Eagles. Nothing flashy really, just domination.”I don’t know if it was our best effort. Best game as far as clean.” said Head Coach Willie Fritz. “We had a couple of turnovers during the ball game. We are disappointed in those.  Maybe we could have put the game away earlier but we’ll take the W without question.” he added.

The Troy Trojans came into Paulson with one win under their belts, so they were looking to avoid being blown out by the league leading Eagles, so they backed up a little bit hoping not to give up a big play. Instead, the Eagles just wore them down. The longest run of the night was 31 yards. “When you get 4 or 5 yards, those are fine though.  Be patient and take those 4-5 yards.” said Fritz.

Anyway you slice it, the Eagles move on to the final three games of their season and looking to stay perfect in conference. “At Georgia Southern we are known for running the football.  Whoever got the ball in his hands, block for them.  We give glory to the team.” said quarterback Kevin Ellison.  “He (coach Fritz) has a knack and a love for energy.” added Linebacker Edwin Jackson.  And it passes down to the players and serious leaders.  Guys that step up for the team.” he said.

Two more shots to stay perfect in conference in their first try in the Sun Belt Only one more home game left Thanksgiving weekend against Louisiana Monroe.
