On Wednesday morning, July 23rd, 53 McDonald’s restaurant managers from all across the Low Country and Coastal Empire vied for the opportunity to win a brand new Ford Fiesta and other cash prizes as a reward for their accomplishments during the past nine months.  This is the third car giveaway for the Savannah McDonald’s Co-Op in the past 20 months.

This year’s winner, Jose Torres has worked for the Stanberry Organization since he was 16 years old.  Through his hard work and dedication, Torres work his way up to the General Management position Loves Travel Center McDonald’s about 3 years ago.  Stanberry says, “It is always exciting to give away a car and it feels great to have the opportunity to give away the car to an employee who is such a team player.”

“Our managers are dedicated leaders who have motivated their employee teams to work even harder to exceed customer expectations and enhance our customers’ experiences in our restaurants, and we are proud to recognize their accomplishments and dedication to our restaurants and our customers,” said Gary Stanberry, McDonald’s Owner/Operator and President of the Savannah McDonald’s Co-Op.  “We created incentives for our managers to further enhance our operations, and we are excited to recognize all of our managers for their contributions.”

To qualify, managers have engaged in competitions that reinforce operational goals to earn tickets, or entries, for the cash raffles over the passed 9 months.  Restaurant managers who demonstrated excellence earned additional tickets or entries into the raffles.  Results have been tracked and managers have been awarded between 10 and 181 tickets based on their performance.  The McDonald’s of Savannah has seen much success from this contest and incentive program.
