Jesse Blanco is a familiar face to television viewers in Savannah and the Lowcountry. Not only is this his second stint as a sportscaster at WSAV, but he is also Host of his own food show “Eat It and Like It.” Jesse has always considered the smiling faces inside WSAV as an extended family and he couldn't be any more excited to be back on the air with them.
Jesse first moved to Savannah in April of 1999 to be a weekend sports anchor. 4 years later he moved on to the bright lights of Nashville, Tennessee where he covered everything from the NFL's Tennessee Titans to college and high school athletics. His career took an interesting turn in 2005 when he had the opportunity to become a news anchor in El Paso, Texas. 3 short years later, he had the chance to return to Savannah and is proud to say he is here to stay.
After the Deen Family, of course, Jesse is Savannah's #1 foodie. His show Eat It and Like It is a journey around the region in search of great food. Now in it's 3rd season, it airs on WSAV Sunday mornings at 7:30am.
When he isn't obsessing about food, or traveling, you'll find Jesse cheering on his Miami Dolphins, Hurricanes and Heat. He is married to WSAV reporter Sheila Parker, they have one daughter.
