Friday afternoon the Calvary Cavaliers 11-game winning streak came to an end in the Class A (Private) School State Championship.  The Cavs fell to Aquinas (Augusta) 27-20.

Robert Heyward scored the Cavs lone touchdown (16 yard run)in the opening quarter as Calvary took a 7-0 lead.  Aquinas scored twice in the second quarter en route to the 27-20 win.  Aquinas finished the season 14-0.

with a 27-7 victory over Savannah's Calvary Day.
    
Friday's win at the Georgia Dome completes a perfect season for Aquinas as the team claims the Class A Private School title.
    
Welch completed 9 of 12 passes for 132 yards, and Ruben Garnett rushed for 111 yards in 19 carries, scoring on a 37-yard run.
    
Robert Heyward scored Calvary Day's touchdown on a 16-yard run and finished with 154 yards on 27 carries.
