WSAV-TV first told you last week about our area's first coaching casualty… Bacon County's Hildrick Garrison was let go after one season leading the Raiders.
Our area's second coaching change this week. Toombs County High School has fired Steve Versprille.
Versprillle only served for one season leading the Bulldogs. The Board of Education voted him out.
According to Southeast Georgia Today's Web site, Versprille admitted to having an affair with the school's assistant principal.
Versprille's married and his wife testified at the Board hearing appealing for leniency. Versprille offered his resignation, but instead was fired.
He finished his only year as head coach at Toombs County High School with a 4-6 record.
