The trek to a State title in the future may have gotten a little tougher for some high schools in the Blitz coverage area.  2014-16 Reclassification numbers have been released and four schools may have to move up in Class.

Richmond Hill is onto the second round of the GHSA Class AAAAA playoffs.  But next year, by the numbers, the Wildcats will be competing in Class AAAAAA.

Statesboro's growth also shows the Blue Devils to make the move up to Class AAAAA.

South Effingham High School has also grown and the school has the enrollment numbers to move up on Classification to AAAAA.

Placement can still be appealed.  The numbers are categorized by enrollment figures submitted by the schools to the Georgia High School Association.  Schools have the chance to appeal to move UP in classification.  And in some cases schools are granted “isolation” status and can play in a lower classification, like Effingham County High School did in the last recassification.  These decisions are based on location and travel distance to other schools in the Region.

By the end of the first week of December, schools should have each been placed in their specific Regions.
