In an effort to preserve the history of farming and homesteading, Hunter Cattle will be having Farm Heritage Day on Saturday Sept. 21 from 10a.m. – 5p.m. on their family farm in Brooklet, GA. The event is expected to be educational, inspirational, and fun for the whole family.
Local chefs, farmers, artisans, and homesteaders are joining efforts with Hunter Cattle – with support from organizations such as Visit Statesboro, The Georgia Dept. of Agriculture, Animal Welfare Approved and Well FED Savannah. The event will also include live music from local bands and foods prepared by the renowned chefs and restaurants that use Hunter Cattle products. Some of our local farm to table vendors who will be attending include: Leoci's Trattoria, Green Truck Pub, Neo HHI, 22 Square, Thrive, Chops on Main, Brasserie 529, and more.
Multiple local heritage farmers will be in attendance sharing their trade and teaching about their special skills. Demonstrations include: mill grinding, blacksmithing, honey hives, goat milking, pottery spinning, horse farrier, soap making, pasta making, and much more!
Pre-sale tickets are $5 for individuals and $25 for families. Tickets at the door are $7for individuals and $35 for families.
