Franklin Chevrolet New Facility Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Franklin Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC will be holding their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for their all new, state-of-the-art dealership in Statesboro on July 18th, 2013. After the ribbon cutting, they will be hosting Statesboro Chamber's Business After Hours from 5-6:30pm.

The facility is located on the same footprint as the old facility at 733 Northside Drive and is the only GM dealer in Southeast Georgia to carry all four brands manufactured by GM.

In addition to a new facade and signage, the newly designed facility features a brighter, more open floor plan allowing more space for customers to view GM vehicles and product information in the showroom, a larger, more convenient customer lounge including free Wi-Fi, media stations exclusively for customer use, and a children's play area. The showroom also features light gray granite flooring, contemporary furniture by Herman Miller and energy efficient lighting throughout sales and service reception areas.

“This is the most comprehensive image enhancement we've made in our 73 years in business,” said Robbie Franklin, owner of Franklin Automotive Group. “Dan Cook, our Vice President has done a remarkable job making sure the construction and transition into this new building has gone smoothly. He understands the importance of having the new facility focus on our customers and their overall car buying experience. We're incredibly pleased with the results and are proud to see not only that our customers are excited about the improvements, but that our staff is too. It's a really exciting time for us.”

The new detail-oriented design of Franklin Chevrolet is the most visible part of a larger branding effort by GM to standardize the way their automotive franchises look and operate. This consistency is a vital part of growing brand value, trust and credibility that are the cornerstone of every product and brand offered by GM.

In 1940, Franklin Chevrolet (then, Marsh Chevrolet Company) was taken over by Lehman Franklin, Sr.

Lehman's son, Robbie Franklin, joined the business in 1964 and continued to grow the business, adding franchises for Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Buick and GMC. In early 2012, Lehman Franklin III joined Franklin Chevrolet as General Sales Manager and is the third generation of the Franklin family to work at the dealership. Franklin Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC offers a wide range of new and pre-owned cars, trucks, vans and SUVs. For more information, visit
