PEMBROKE, N.C. – With Armstrong Atlantic State University's 13-8 win over No. 10-ranked UNC Pembroke, baseball head coach Joe Roberts becomes the all-time winningest head coach in NCAA Division II history, passing Valdosta State's Tommy Thomas.

The win in game one of the two teams' Peach Belt Conference doubleheader places coach Roberts with an NCAA-recognized 1,309-635 record (.673) over 34 seasons, passing Thomas, who accumulated a 1,308-825 record in 40 seasons at Valdosta State.

The Pirates are 26-12 in 2013 and are 16-9 in the Peach Belt Conference standings.
